in the small lonely cold dark winter window
a small candle with it's warm soft orange glow
licked the thick blackness of night with its fiery red tongue
it danced about in unison with your silent floating laughter
happily tangled...no voice heard only whispering winds
tapping gently with frosty fingers at the windowpane
i watch the slow rhythmic dance between fire and laughter
your laughter's warm soft summer colors spinning sparking bursting before my eyes
floating through winter's icy midnight sky with a tiny fire bird in stride
your smile appears in a shadowy corner of the little frosty raven colored filled room
like shining ice crystals against the crisp clear arctic dead of night sky
a gift of warmth in the bitter numbing cold of winter darkness

What you wrote is a poem, in the most properly ever icy sense of the word
