Why The *F* Won't They Play "Last Soldier" ?

Seriously.
I know it is a lost cause at this point.
They had the entirety of the Bush years to do it, and plenty of fucking war to protest,
but besides one silly time at an awards ceremony, they have done fuck all with what is probably their *second* best christmas single ever (Angel being #1, kudos Dave, hah) ...

So what's the dealie? Eddie never thought, "hey man, maybe I WONT play 'no more war' tonight. hell, maybe I'll play a GOOD protest song, instead. Too bad we don't have one of those ...oh wait ... Last Soldier ... DUH!"

    Yes! I'd love to know the backstory of why some songs that are so strong disappear...
    Last soldier is fantastic. The mike song/ rockfords one from red rocks, Santa Cruz great too. And play "undone" while you're at it.
    That's another relatively strightforward song to play I would think and it's got good energy to not lose the non diehard crowd with obscurity. But I'm a PJ b-side junkie anyway so ... Hard to imagine Is my number 1 request. Hope one day we hear a few stories about some of these but probably not likely.

    When you look at their catalog I think I can understand whey they haven't played it. I'm not saying it is a bad song or anything, but I just don't think it is all that special or anything. I'm a self-admitted song chaser and this one has never been on my list for songs I want to hear.

    It was written before the show date. It was a suggestion of inserting it in to the set in a meaningful way surrounded by songs about war.
