    What an experience. This was back in the old lottery days, and I won lottery 9th row front and center the first night. Quite possibly one of the best performances of this song. The energy and vibe was out of this world and electric. Where I was sitting (9th row front and center), I literally did, and I mean this, feel like I was lifted off of the ground during "I'll ride the wave.......WHERE IT TAKES MEEEEEE!!" line.     Mine was Hard to Imagine in Knoxville 1998. the 16th anniversary of this show is coming up in 3 days.

    I had been to 3 previous shows on the tour and decided on the spur of the moment to drive up to Knoxville and hope to score tickets. I just had a feeling that they were going to play it and I would regret it forever if I didn't go to the show.

    Anyway, It was Labor Day weekend and I called out of work on some flimsy excuse (the truth is finally out) and bought some "decent" tickets at the local record store.... and i'll be damned if they didn't play the mofo.

    and this was when it was a rarity at live shows.

    Immortality- ive been following since98 and it appears the show before, after or sometime before and after the show or shows i go to. Maybe this fall will be different. Here is to immortality being played in tulsa lincoln or miluwaukee.

    There are so many songs in the PJ catalog, but I got red mosquito and present tense at ACL 09. Those were white whales on my list forever.
