But you haven't missed out on the Lightning Bolt stream. you can still do that. I'm listening to it right now.

    I'm listening right now.

my vinyl basically made a trip to Auburn, WA---> Fontana, CA--->Phoenix, AZ--->Federal Way, WA--->my OLD address (near the Canadian border)--->and is now on it's way back to 10c.

I really hope it doesn't have to make that trip again just to travel the 6 miles to be re-delivered...is there a pick-up option available?

I'm entertained to see that my vinyl went from Auburn, WA, to Fontana, CA, to LA, to Federal Way, WA. Was supposed to be delivered on the 7th. Nope. Oh, I live in Oregon, so it's gone past me twice.

How about keeping up with the green initiative and let us spend more to have it delivered directly? It could've walked here faster. Sheesh.

Yeah. I understand it might be cheaper to ship a heavy item this way to the mid-west and east coast, but there's no way it's cheaper than just sending all the ones to the west coast through the mail. And even if it were, I'd gladly pay an extra couple bucks on some things (like a limited edition expensive record set). I also understand that UPS will actually come pick stuff up from their warehouse and I don't think USPS will for media mail so maybe a priority mail option would be needed for a higher price. But sending hundreds of 4 pound packages 3000+ miles when they should only be going anywhere from 5-300 miles is just ridiculous.

I can't imagine how this could be considered to be efficient. How about the "carbon footprint" of a product traveling this far to get somewhere 20 mins away? I wonder if all this extra travel resulted in this occurring: http://community.pearljam.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=219114

    TrackingInfo_zps462c116c.jpg

 I'm glad mine was delivered safe and sound and I'm thankful for that. But really!?!?!?!? 9 days to ship a package 20 miles?

Whoa! Could only imagine how long of a list it would be for my package traveling to Atlantic Canada. . Maybe that's why it takes 4-6 weeks. After landing on Canadian soil, it's next stop would be @ Robot Santa's Death Fortress @ the North Pole then back to Halifax.

Yes, after seeing your post - I was able to enter number on the Mail Innovations website, not the USPS website, so here is my Incredible Journey! (Already posted on the 10 club shipping is f*ucked thread...

So I guess I get to endure this process one more time at least. Thanks a lot Cincinnati. Just another reason for this Michigander to dislike Ohio!:lol:

I think I might win for longest distance travelled, at least in the continental US! What's my prize?

At least I don't need to worry about it being delivered while we are in Pittsburgh and Buffalo this weekend!

I would like to think they would send a single package using a different service. Mail Innovations, in theory, works for mass quantities being shipped at the same time. Good luck to you. Still waiting for mine, but is in my hometown, so I have that going for me.

That is one Incredible Journey - across the country twice - can't wait to see the condition it will be in. :(

Just received an e-mail from 10c asking for my correct address, so they can re-ship it! Fantastic, I feel like this is going to be like Groundhog Day - how many shipments will it take to arrive in Ann Arbor, will it ever make it past Cincinnati - I wonder if they can put the LB vinyl in with the Vault#3, since they are both back the 10c warehouse... :fp:

I would like to think they would send a single package using a different service. Mail Innovations, in theory, works for mass quantities being shipped at the same time. Good luck to you. Still waiting for mine, but is in my hometown, so I have that going for me.

Well, the LB vinyl confirmation said it was being shipped via Mail Innovations. Fingers crossed.

Mine went a fairly direct route. It still took 7 days though.

Auburn, WA --> Coppell, TX (which is basically Dallas) --> Dallas, TX --> Austin, TX

There's a weird entry though, with Memphis being listed as receiving electronic shipment info, despite the package never going there (I can tell from the time/dates ... it wouldn't be possible). I wonder if some are getting confused and thinking their package went places that it actually didn't.

Still no vault #3 in New Zealand(not with me anyway). Got shipping e-mail on 2nd October(12 days ago gmail kindly tells me). Doesn't bode well for when I'll receive my copy of LB either seeing I only got shipping e-mail on the 10th of October. :(

I got mine in Canada yesterday. Monday was a Stat holiday here so that was exactly 10 business days since it got shipped. That's pretty standard for US to Canada shipping.

edit. The box looked like it had seen better days... IE it was caved in on one corner. I think bubble wrap mostly protected it though. it looks like one corner of the boxset it a little pressed but it's barely noticeable (and pretty common on vinyl artwork).

Hopefully I find the time tonight to give it a spin.

Hey look what arrived today - doesn't look too bad considering it has traveled across the country three separate times! 7,000 miles by my calculation!
