Video of me playing with Mike at Flight To Mars

So I donated again to play a UFO song onstage with Mike again this year at his annual Flight To Mars fundraiser. First off, all the guys in the band, Ty Bailie, Mike Musburger, Paul Passereli, Tim Dijulio, and Gary Westlake are class acts and amazingly talented musicians. It's one thing to let me get up on the stage with them, but they were genuinely excited for me since they understand what a big deal it is to be able to play a song onstage with who inspired me to pick up a guitar. Tim was telling me the story of how last year in San Diego Ace Frehley came out onstage during a solo. Mike didn't tell him he was coming and Tim was confused when Mike motioned for him to cut his solo short. He thought maybe he was playing bad and then out walks Ace to finish the solo. Tim was in awe.

So what's it like to play onstage with Mike? Pretty much a big blur. Luckily great folks like Jason Leung and Sofie Kelle were there to film it and Jason Tang took some awesome photos.

I saw on the setlist Mike was going to open the encore with Eruption so I parked myself right in front of him and started recording. If you haven't seen it check out the link below. Mike's exactly how you would expect him to be. Outgoing and just a down to earth nice guy.
