Your favourite first 2 songs at a show

Go-Animal is epic when they open with those in the row..

u get it..its afuckin pj show...
Dimi's comment in the "Worst opener" thread got me thinking about this. I don't want to hijack that thread so I started this one instead.

What's your favourite opening 2 song combination at a show?

I've had Go -> Animal twice (and Animal -> Go once) and the place went nuts both times but I prefer the slow song -> fast song openers. I think my favourite combination from the shows I've been too is either Release -> Animal or Hard To Imagine -> Save You

Animal -> Go
Nothing As It Seems -> Breakerfall
World Wide Suicide -> Life Wasted
Go -> Animal
Interstellar Overdrive/Corduroy -> Do The Evolution
Alive -> Life Wasted
All Or None -> Education
Why Go -> Corduroy
Hard To Imagine -> Save You
Release -> World Wide Suicide
Sometimes -> Interstellar Overdrive/Corduroy
Release -> Animal
Release -> Do The Evolution
Go -> Animal

What are your favourite combinations?

    It's a great question, one I look at when I analyze bootlegs.

    Long Road->Corduroy.....Flows really well and builds tension nicely.

    Interstellar Overdrive into Corduroy-> Why Go

    Go->Animal.....Not the other way around, I don't care for Animal as an opener.

    Release into a audio version of March of the Penguins is fine with me (as long as Eddie is doing the Narration).

    The coolest and best opening that I have seen was Release into RVM. I like the jamming that occurs in RVM when it is late in the set, but when it came this early it was just a furious short rocking version that was amazing.

    Also good openings were Oceans into Breakerfall and Releas into Animal!

    It does work quite well, boy that show grew on me quick. Both Berlins are stunning bootlegs.

    Long Road into Why Go at Berlin 1 isnt too shabby of a start either! 8-)

    I'd love to hear Long Road as an opener. I've got a couple of '96 bootlegs that have Long Road -> Hail Hail and Long -> Last Exit... I'd happily take either of those! :)

    I did get Long Road to open an EV show (Sydney night 2) but I'd love to hear it with the full band one day...
