A few months ago, I'd seared a gorgeous piece of steak in a frying pan, then put the pan in the oven to finish cooking it.

So I take it out, let it rest a few minutes, and FORGET the handle was screaming hot when I grabbed it.

I've never felt pain like that before. I almost passed out, then threw up :oops:

But after, I put Neosporin all over my palm and immersed it in ice cold water in this marble canister we keep in the freezer to keep wine cold.

Best thing ever! Almost healed in two days.

I can't begin to imagine what someone with major burns goes through.

It's awful, i once burned most of my forearm cleaning a stove at mcdonalds and had to sleep that night with my arm propped up in front of the air conditoner, if i took it away from the ice cold for more than a second forget about it :evil:

Yep... did that yesterday... ran it under cold water... my whole hand isn't going to fit in a glass, though
