Times of Trouble came on Pandora today and I couldnt help but notice it sounds exactly like Footsteps. Both songs are from the eatly years of PJ/TOTD and if I remember correctly Footsteps was the demo tape Eddie made. So I began to wonder which one was written first and if they are indeed the same song just with differnt lyrics. This has been bothering me all morning so any insight is appreciated.

It's the same song just different lyrics, Eddie talked about it in Stockholm 1992. The two songs are made at the same time, TImes For Trouble made it on a record first, Jeremy was released later (footsteps as a B side).

Yeah, I've always noticed those two as well. I don't have any insight about the timeline though.

This got me thinking, has anyone else ever noticed the similar guitar hook used in Mankind and Supersonic? Sorta subtle, but once you notice it, you'll want to insert one verse of Mankind into Supersonic...
It's amazing what you hear when you take time to listen.

    hehe, that's nice!

it is so cool to hear Times of Trouble and Footsteps, and hearing Chris and Eddies very different takes on the music.
