Only made it once, several years ago, and it was just okay.
But I'm trying again tomorrow, and I want it to be great.

Any tips from the experts to make it extra special delicious?

    :P

I broil the corned beef until it is cooked (depends on the weight of the meat) and then I put it in the oven at 375 for twenty minutes with a mustard and brown sugar mixture on top. It tastes amazing.

Thanks very much, exactly the kind of advice I was looking for.

I look forward to this every year. Nothing fancy for us. Throw it in the crock pot and let it cook all day. Smells so good and very comforting. Also must have Irish soda bread complete with caraway seeds and golden raisins.
Mmmm! I think Saturday will be my cheating day.

Me too. I wonder if there is anything inherently wrong or digestively risky with having Corned beef and cabbage on saturday followed by chicken tikka on sunday....
