had a snowflake
had a dream or the dream had me
all cold white cold covering
silver bloodless blankets as far as the mind could go
would scream a silent bit of pain as beauty touched us

another split log went into the controlled blaze
we were warmth
the exact definition
as all stars wept in frigedly treetop

her golden voice matched hearing of mine
glass windows reminded us of childhood days under christmas trees
somehow pleasure frozen solid still erect
this where a morning sunrise tackles pink grapefruit & oranges off of your open breasts like i do
the citrus painter as large as our imaginations threw us down onto our clouds
morning lovely her eyes doves
tender as the north cold's disappearance for greens & yellows
& as innocent as a lost cold puppy

the mouth of sunshine
wrapped our cabin in thin transparent gold lace
& diamonds
that would twinkle her's & my dreams
bouncing them across every hill
every iced over body of water or puddle
mud or crystal clear icebergs as tiny as a mouse
as lonely as this shivering forest

still snowflakes invading
their parachutes loving us to death
each one unique
one a priestess
a cross another
lions craving our sweating meat falling around the log pile
some a sliver of tears from giants
they cry unrelaxed still beautiful coming to get us high

we have relied on this winter
your wetness wrapped me in glorious flashing everything smiling
even pitch black held me & my letting go fears ran turning into snow
my tracks your tracks hand in hand
we ran we ran we ran
painted glass getting kissed
the cathedral within you stood next to me in trust
held me up thrusting me into you as if falling down into you
with the sky changing colors moment by moment sun or black
daylight or riding with emptiness
but the wolves would howl
we'd shower & go again
for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
