Sprint Unlimited was a good race last night. Harvick and Logano got into it again. Looking forward to the big race on Sunday. Go #88.

I'm still confused as to why Jeff Gordon is stepping down. He's not that old to be racing. last night he did well.

    Cushy tv gig?

Dudes been racing since 1990 or 1991? That's a long time to be behind the wheel of a race car. I'm not a huge racing fan but I can't imagine that being an easy life.

not a good week for the busch brothers. Kyle hurt in Xfinity race and will miss Daytona.

Hoping #88 wins. Wouldn't mind seeing Gordon win since it's his last Daytona race.

Decent race. Of course there were a few crashes towards the end. #88 almost pulled that off. After he fell back to about 19th or so with 20 laps i started to get worried, but then after the first caution with about 5 laps to go i saw he was 8th.

    Congrats to Joey Lagano!

It makes sense ... bunching up the field and doing a 3 lap shootout for the win would be insanely unsafe on those tracks.

I have no idea who to cheer on now that Gordon is done. I guess it's between True and Edwards.

I only ever picked Gordon to spite someone who was a hard core Earnhardt fan. I didn't give two shots about racing at that time but I told my friend that Gordon was going to win the Daytona 500 that year and he did. Stuck with him after that.

Edwards seems likeable and he won the only race I ever attended.

Truex...not sure really. I knew a few years back that I would need to have someone take over my rooting interest once JG retired. Truex had a catchy Napa commercial.

I like Carl Edwards ... always seemed like a good guy. NASCAR is one of the last sports that no matter who you select most of those drivers will never let you down by doing something stupid outside the sport and when someone does they go away...it just doesn't happen often, especially from the sports bread and butter drivers. I see Gordon has been Earnhardt relief driver and raced in is 800th NASCAR race and Kenneth in his 600th, both at Watkins Glen in the same race, pretty cool.

I'm still with Truex and Edwards but haven't dedictated much time to Nascar this season thanks mostly to Gordon retiring. Once I heard he was coming back for Jr. I was thrilled. Only I haven't been able to watch more than about 30 laps of his return.
