When you peel potential candidates, you can store them in three categories: "? Probable? '"? Almost confirmed? "Or"? Pure speculation? ". Pearl Jam is part of the first batch. band will perform in effect on July 16 in London, Ontario. Told The Sun that the concert is not exclusive and it is possible that the band Eddie Vedder happening here.

More shows the better but another stand alone lottery?????

if its a festival, i wouldnt expect 10club tickets, so a lottery is probably not going to be an issue with this one.

The more people that get to see the band, the better, but I suspect a lot of people already have bookings that would need to change if this show materializes. Whiners gonna whine.

Based on nothing more than pure conjecture, I would say that the chance of a QC show is EXTREMELY remote.

This would be quite the coup for Quebec City. Easily one of the coolest little cities in North America, right up there with New Orleans. Scoring tickets to a show in Quebec City would take a lot of the sting from missing out on Chicago. Chicago Dogs or Quebec City Poutine? Hopefully both! Good luck to the underdog.
  • I know it's all speculation, but it is interesting they are playing a sole Canadian date in London prior to Chicago. There is the Quebec City festival, but also the Ottawa Bluesfest running from July 4-14. The festival is going for a more rock feel this year.

Again, I have no inside information, just pure speculation and wishing on my behalf. My guess, filling out a few more Canadian dates would make the London show make a little more sense. Since they are festivals, it would also make sense the dates not being announced until the festival announcements....

I am setting myself up for disappointment. :fp:

Just because Pearl Jam scheduled one date in Canada, people have been speculating that the band will play every other summer festival date around the early July timeframe in the Quebec/Ontario region...

    It's almost laughable...

I wouldn't hold my breath for any of them.

Canada had it's share of touring in 2011. You're not going to see a lot of dates in Canada this year. Especially not in Ottawa, the place that had the lamest showing out of all the Quebec/Ontario dates in 2011.

London is a random, small venue the band has chosen for a warm up show prior to hitting the massive stage at wrigley in front of 41,000 people.

take it at nothing more than that until 10C tells you otherwise.
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

I am not seeing PJ play a show in Quebec City before the London, ON date. It would reduce the sting of not getting tickets for the London, ON and Wrigley Field shows for the fans.

Are we sure this wasn't just someone writing "pearl jam concert" in an online article to drive traffic to the site?
  • lenglolenglo Quebec City, Canada Posts: 36
Tickets for the festival will be on sale next Saturday. It's the talk of town right now. It's the first time the Festival will sell tickets without any band announced...

Everyone wants to know who will be THE band this summer.

Nothing like using the forum to promote your festival.

I think it's about time for the admins to wrap this one up.
