    Hey guys,

    So I had my first ever Thanksgiving meal over here in Scotland and of course pumpkin pie was served!

    I've got to say sadly I am not a fan of it at all! :( I think the pie we had maybe wasn't the best so I will give it another at some point. :)

    I had a big sandwich at lunch so I'm skipping dinner and just having a slice of pumpkin pie with whipped cream....ahhhh I love holiday weekends

    I did this both Friday and Saturday night, had lunch and then pie for dinner...there's only one piece left. Looks like it's a trifecta! My rationalization? I won't have Pumpkin Pie again until next November!

    Respectfully, it ain't pumpkin pie if step one involves a can opener.

    All lovers of pumpkin pie should consider making the switch to butternut squash.
    Higher sugar content means less added sugar, its less stringy, it's only marginally hollow so there isn't much gut scraping, and it skins a little easier.
    Flavor is the same, except slightly nuttier and sweeter.
