Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist... It is a 3-day festival and they only showed 2 headliners.
Who is head lining the 3rd night
Last year, the 3 headliners had top billing.
Can someone take a screenshot of the lineup?
"So you're saying there's a chance..."
And that blurred pic says pearl jam
I feel like that blurred pic was definitely photoshopped and massively trolled everyone. He said he "enhanced" it, but he really just photoshopped it to look like bands names that were rumored to be there.

Would have certainly tried to go if PJ was in, but my fear was if they played this then Philly, DC would be off of the map for this tour that is supposed to happen later in the year. Much rather catch them in an arena setting
Yeah, i'd rather see a regular show too but the way I saw it they'd just do both. 2 festival shows(MIA&Firefly) wouldn't be enough to feed the masses considering its been what.. 09 since they last played a regular show in the NE. Plus there's a reason Pj likes the East Coast. We know how to party proper!

PJ played a bunch of shows in the Northeast in 2010, as well as MIA last year. That is why I think a fall tour will be either the South or the West Coast. They have not toured there in 10 years and 4 years.

Yeah, your right. They did play the NE in 2010 but they haven't played a regular show in Philly since 09(Spectrum). They also played some West Coast dates during that 2010 run but either way the U.S. has been neglected as of late.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Passion Pit, MGMT, Ellie Goulding, Public Enemy, The Joy Formidable, Japandroids, The Walkmen, St Lucia, Haim, and CHVRCHES? Damn. That's a killer line-up. I generally can't stand festivals, but this one looks REALLY good.
the lack of a 3rd headliner has me thinking they will delay announcing a major 3rd headliner in an effort to create more buzz at a later date and have a 2nd large run on tickets..
not saying that will be PJ, but i would be surprised if they didnt announce a 3rd major headliner in the future

I think its weak too. I love a few of those bands but the lineup thins out quickly. I would not be a definite for this even if PJ was added.

Oh I know I was referring to the entire lineup. Dont like Tom Petty, RHCP are pretty bad live (saw them in 02 and 06), Vampire Weekend is a great studio band but horrendous live (they use a backing track for several songs), and Foster The People.... I won't even touch on that choice.
Whoever posted that Pearl Jam was playing or hinted they were playing ought to be banned. :shifty: Giving us fine east coast folks just a glimmer of hope :fp:
All in all only two headliners for a three day festival? Where's the third headliner? Or is one them gonna play twice? I say replace RHCP with Pearl Jam and add Arcade Fire and or Kings Of Leon. Other than that pretty solid

yes I nitpick eevry festival lineup. Im planning on attending Governors Ball in NYC even though I dont want to see anyone of the 3 headliners .
I think the Firefly line-up is better than the Governors Ball (though obviously there's a lot of crossover). Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. Governors Ball line-up is definitely better than I thought it would be.
I just realized, even if PJ is the mythical third headliner, it will be announced likely after the first and even second ticket price ranges sell out. So if PJ (or whoever they add, if anyone) is the deciding factor on whether or not you go, you have to pay at least 30 bucks more.
Hmmmm, this fest just keeps getting more curious and possibly better.

Although I wouldn't spring for a 3 day ticket for Ed as a just a special guest. I am up for springing for a single day ticket if they put them up for sale.

I really wish they would just announce everything before tickets went on sale. I'm not going to buy tickets unless I know for sure PJ/Eddie are going to be there since I don't care for anyone else playing. I'm worried tickets are going to sell out and then they'll announce something and by that point I'm screwed. :(
