Noo, just play in Seattle. The Gorge is a pain.

Really? I've been going to Seattle shows since '98. Memorial Stadium, Key Arena, and The Gorge. The Gorge shows by far are my favourite. I travel to them from Victoria, so it means about 5.5 hours of driving from the Ferry instead of the 2.5 to Seattle. I find it's well worth the extra 3 hours.
I'd be coming from Victoria as well.I really think it be worth it for a weekend PJ retreat.
Even though the Canadian dollar is shit I'd still go!
Yah that's the spirit. Me too! I love road tripping out to the Gorge :)

I also found my new favourite way to get to Seattle this past weekend. Previously we'd either ferry to Vancouver and drive down, or to Port Angeles and drive around. This time we took the ferry to port angeles, but drove to bainbridge island, and took the ferry from there right to downtown seattle. 35 minute ferry knocks off over an hour of driving.. it's brilliant :)
Super cool I didn't know about that thanks :)

I missed the Gorge '05 experience, and have regret it ever since. Please play it in 2017 so I can rid myself of this feeling of loss for not attending...thank you.

yah if I'd known they'd play the gorge next year I might of skipped the show at Centurylink this year. I don't think I want to allocate funds to see them twice.

GnR is only booked that Sunday and their schedule makes it seem unlikely they will add another date. The Gorge is accustomed to being booked by DMB all three nights of Labor Day Weekend. Feels like somebody has holds on Friday and Saturday. Might it be our boys?

Sadly no PJ shows as I was living in Australia in 2005 and then went back in June of 2006 (Should have waited a few weeks for PJ, so stupid in hindsight), but love the venue and have always dreamed of returning:

    1) Lolla 1996 (Soundgarden was so awesome, came on just as the sun was setting, gorgeous natural scenic background)
    2) Lolla 1997
    3) Sasquatch, May 2006 (Ben Harper, Flaming Lips, Tragically Hip, the Shins)
    4) Sasquatch 2008 (REM, the Cure, the National, Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Beirut, Death Cab, etc)
    5) Kings of Leon 2010

7 years is way too long to be away from that venue, c'mon PJ August 1 and 2, 2017!
