girl onstage with Ed

I was just checking out the pics from the tour on Pearljam.com. I noticed a picture of ed singing onstage with a girl at the detroit show, I was just wondering what was going on there?
all those paper plates......

    ok, well I am 27 and I still call myself a girl, maybe around mid 20's?

    i believe she was doing sign language to the song ( i think GTF )

    no, she isn't. but somewhere on the porch it was verified that yes indeed she was there as a sign language interpreter. makes sense b/c out very own IAmMine was at that show. :)
