Best RVM ever----Hartford

I've seen some people mention this already...the best version of RVM that I've ever heard (especially at a show that I went to) was Saturday night in Hartford. The middle "jam" section seemed to go on fooooooooooooorrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvverrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, I know that they usually jam out the middle, but this was much more intense and drawn out than I've ever seen or heard it before. Blown away. Btw, the show was great--the band was on fire. The only downer was that I didn't get my tickets through the fan club. So, my friend and I had to endure a cold, windy night on the lawn. The lawn sucks, but I am always happy and grateful to be in the same building as PJ. Rock on people.

It was great! Ed's hair was in his face, and the light was in such a way that I couldn't see his facial features, like he was silhoutte color. Anyway, because the darkness/shadow of his face it was easier to just look straight at him during the entire song. Don't know if he could see either; if we were darkened by the light also. If I could see his eyes I probably wouldn't look at him that long. Anyway, just overcoming the bashfulness, and yes, it was an excellent song.

Agreed. I've seen a ton of shows and heard lots of boots and Hartford's RVM stands out above the rest. It was incredibly intense.

Yeah, Matt is my PJ MVP so far with the new album and this tour. No one should be surprised with his backup vocals, just look at Wellwater--he's the frickin' singer and drummer. I'm blown away by how talented he is. I'm glad PJ has him...and he's here to stay.

fuckin the ending is the best when Ed headbangs strait into the mic stand, falls down and keeps playing while his lip is bleeding (i think, he kept checing his lip)

That RVM was the best I ever heard also in Hartford. Matt did a tribal type drum part in the middle of that intense jam. Sometimes I don't like the RVM jam but I was intensly moved by the one in Hartford.

They didn't play RVM in Albany. I was amazed. I was also surprised at Daughter early in the setlist. Seems like they're changing the encore songs...

Anyway, the best RVM that I've heard would be the first night of Seattle - 2000/11/05. Haven't heard the Hartford one, so I can't compare.

Hartford was the best RVM I have ever heard. I said it to my GF too that night and put it on my fanview. Terrific.
