'06 boot mixing?

How is the mixing on the '06 boots?

Is it comparable to '00, '03 or '05???

    i went for the mp3s of the first 2 shows and they sound beautiful, in fact I wish they'd mix their albums to sound like this. the bass is very clear, you can hear exactly what boom is doing, which you couldn't at the shows, and Matt's backing vocals are real clear and great and the guitars sound amazing... the mp3a are 256 k which is much closer to cd quality than the 2005 mp3s. I can only imagine the flac must be equal or superior to the 2000 cds

    They really are 256 kbps now vs. the 192 kbps???

    Thats good to know. 192 kbps was on the edge for me. I think I just might pass up the flac and settle with the 256 kbps mp3s..

    The mixing and the sound is excellent. You can hear the backing vocals, bass and BOOOOOOOOOM perfectly! I am rocking out to Toronto#2 at work right now. Looking forward to hearing Albany tonight! Can not wait for the UC this week for my 2 nights of therapy!!

    has anyone heard both mp3 and flac? is there a significant difference?

    Well, I'm not an audio buff, but I DLed the FLAC files last night and then had a buddy of mine shoot me the MP3's to compare. FLAC pummels the MP3's ass. Take the extra steps and fork the extra doe for the FLACs if you can. You won't regret it. Just make sure you've got room on your PC.

    against the rules, i know...but does anyone feel like sending me the Toronto 2 mp3s? i know im bein cheeky, only heard the first show lol!

    I would say it's pretty comparable to the 05 boots just a bit better. There is still room for improvement imo.I guess I'm pretty spoiled by the 03 boots ....

    I used to listin to audience recorded cassette tapes. I can't see how flac could "pummel" high quality mp3s. I can't hear the differnce at 192, I'm definately not going to be able to tell at 256.. Maybe I'm just deaf.
