Reminds of a bit that I saw a comedian do many, many years ago...

"I don't know who 'Wah' is but Roy is out there kickin ass!"

She's 8. It was a fun night. She got into some of the cheers and chants. On top of that my kids got to ride on the zambonis.

The Blue Jackets won their 7th in a row last night. Best winning percentage in the league and 8-1-1 in the last 10 games. Hope they keep this up all season and finally win a playoff series.

Nice comeback for Nashville last night. They really needed the win. I feel like an idiot for staying home but I just got tired.

Like seeing them do well for a change. Columbus is one of my favorite cities to visit; been to Nationwide for hockey games and concerts and it's always a great experience. And the Jackets have the best alternate sweaters in the league!

My 2 fav teams are now tied, Canes and Wings. Doesn't seem right.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Cant have two teams in the same conference, need to give one up since the Wings moved East.

jk, you can root for every team if you like.

Speaking of. The divisions are all even. Have they mentioned where Vegas will fit in? I read someone is disputing their logo.
Oh please let it rain today.

I imagine they will be in the Pacific; would make the most sense. This will make the Central division the odd man out with 7 teams while the other three have 8.
The trademark was denied by the US Patent & Trademark Office. They said it may "confuse with the likelihood" of The College of St. Rose, a school of about 5000 students in Albany, NY whose nickname is the same. The school itself, from what I understand, did not file any disputes. I may be wrong on that but I think it was all the USPTO's decision. The NHL has 6 months to respond. It will get worked out. I mean, the UCLA and Boston Bruins exist. The Miami and Carolina Hurricanes exist. Youngstown State and Pittsburgh Penguins exist. Oregon and Anaheim Ducks. Pitt & Florida Panthers. Etc.

The answer here is that UCLA should have to change their name to The Doormats.
    fUCLA.
Still have a shirt from college that says "My maid went to UCLA."

The Ducks can change to the Sucks.
These suggestions make my USC/Kings roots happy.

Can we all appreciate the greatness that is Jaromir Jagr?! With 3 assists last night, dude tied my favorite player of all time, Mark Messier, with his 1887th career point, 2nd all-time.

Overtimes, shootouts, and the current point allocation system is ruining the NHL.

He's hated here in Columbus. He never liked playing here and he made it very well known. He quit on the team and pretty much forced the Jackets to trade him. We did get Jack Johnson out of the deal so not all bad.

To make it worse he always plays good against us. Like last night. Two goals plus one in the shootout.

It's been fun watching this team this year. Hopefully it continues into the future. Love what Torts has done with the team.

There is little chance you will be saying that in a few years....Torts is all sorts of koo-koo.and it wears out the teams over a few years. Working right now, though.
