Hi guys,

We are looking for a writer to do a pretty decent sized article about the various Pearl Jam memorabilia from the last 20 years, the bio of a typical collector, approximate $ spent on collecting, some of the most valuable items out there, the holy grails, the failures, etc.

We'd also want original photographs to accompany the story with permission to publish them in the Yearbook.

If this is something you're interested in, please contact yearbook@wishlistfoundation.org

Thanks!
Laura

I heard you were one of the ones to talk to :)

Sweet collection & reference site. Is pjcollectors.com your site or does someone else run it?

Once we have a writer for the article, we'll be interviewing you (hopefully!) and a few others should they come forward with an impressive collection!

Ok Laura, no trouble. I can try and write a little something too.

The pjcollectors site is a small community of collectors, and contributors, the domain is owned by the main man Vic Nogales. Hes awesome, and you some definitely talk to him too. The members all pay to keepn the site online every few years but its the hard work of Vic that we are all thankful for keeping the site running.

The site aims to be the most comprehensive overview of the PJ 'recorded' media and the various side projects, there is an intention to open a new section one day too dedicated to the various promotional items that are out there - via a virtual museum section.

I can pretty much supply you a shot of any promo item out there though, the one glaring omission from my collection is the vitalogy japanese filofax promo - but i have photos of it anyway.

We also have a matrix of the known 18 reeenk roinks up until last year. There are a few more to be added since which would also be available.

and Brian, Vic is definitely a guy

have a friend doing a journalism course at the moment so I've sent her a message. She's also getting married in just under a month so I kinda expect she has too much else on her plate but I've asked & we'll see...... :)

Always fun to show someone Pauls collection when they think I have too much. I have boots and shirts and thats about it, so when someone asks about the Jack bottles and the Reenk Roink, its over to Pauls pages to drool.

    dear god....

this is funny, I have a similar tactic - when people give me the funny look (you know the one where they'd cross the road and avoid eye contact)...i often use a few other guys collections that make mine look pathetic

    diversion tactics...... ;)
