Small Town opens here, Ed changing the opening lyrics to "I swear I recognise your face..." and later "My god its been 6 years, never dreamed you'd return". Last Exit isn't as strong as it could be, Mike late in his solo. The intro to Evolution is abit messed up, whether Stone went to early I can't tell. This starts off abit of a Yield section to the set - 4 of the next 5 songs are from Yield; Evolution, MFC, Lowlight and Given To Fly with Unthought Known being the odd one out in the middle of that section. Setting Forth is played again and this time combines with Whipping. Grievance makes it's 2nd and last appearance of the tour, then the guys rip into Lukin. Breath is a strange but good choice to follow. Better Man closes a main set that I didn't really get into - the 2nd half of the main set just didn't flow for me.
A beautiful The End opens the first encore. The first chords of Inside Job open up barely before Ed finishes The End. After Just Breathe, Ed asks the crowd do they want another campfire song or a rocker. He teases them with the first few chords from Off He Goes and the crowd cheer thus Off He Goes is next in the set. An excellent choice too. The 'rockers' eventually appear in the encore in the form of Why Go, The Fixer and Rearviewmirror.
Come Back starts the second encore and is played by request. The Real Me is next and initially starts a bit weary I thought but grew in performance as the song went on. Alive is just the anthem; it's difficult to say anything else about Alive! Yellow Ledbetter closes the show.
From the 4 shows of the Canada tour so far, this is easily my least favourite. Nothing wrong in terms of performance, just simply the boot didn't grab my attention too much. Lowlight and Off He Goes are my favourites here.

"Mikey will you do the honours" says Ed to which Mike starts Given To Fly to open the gig. The Fixer and Severed Hand are served up early, Corduroy is outstanding. Hail Hail on the back of it is excellent too. It's a pretty good opening sequence and different too. U then makes it's first appearance in 3 years. Immortality and Not For You with Setting Forth inbetween is a good run, the Vitalogy numbers impressive as ever. The run of Cropduster to Push Me Pull Me is excellent with Daughter/Blitzkreig Bop and Habit in the middle. Habit is immense and this is only the 3rd appearance since 2005. Unfortunately the intro to PMPM is aborted - Ed telling the crowd "I always get nervous before this one and need a drop of fake confidence". Just Breathe provides a little restbite before two Ten heavy-hitters close the main set. I must admit I do prefer Just Breathe when it's not in the first encore. Jeremy & Why Go complete the main set.
A beautiful Nothingman starts the first encore. Ed acknowledges the day of the gig is the 7th anniversary of Johnny Ramones death. Ed then covers The Ramones I Remember You solo, which leads in Better Man - the crowd taking the first few verses. I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend is tagged onto the end. It's a Ten era finish to the encore with Black, State Of Love And Trust and Porch that seems to go on forever!
The second encore starts with a request - Brain Of J. A couple of covers are next in the form of Crazy Mary and then The Stooges Search & Destroy. Mark Arm & Steve Turner of Mudhoney join in on the latter. Like the previous gig in Ottawa, Alive and Yellow Ledbetter close out the show.
Really enjoyed this one until the second encore which I felt fell abit flat compared to the rest of the boot.

No messing around here as the set starts at a quick pace with Why Go, Animal, All Night and Corduroy. Ed then talks about the next song and introduces Amongst The Waves only to realise the next song is supposed to be Arms Aloft! They do as intended with first Arms Aloft then Amongst The Waves. The tempo then drops for Small Town, Wishlist and Daughter which features WMA and It's Ok tags. Green Disease makes it's first appearance in 2 years. Following Even Flow is I Got Shit. Ed again tags in Cinnamon Girl and Down to follow is a great sequence. Unfortunately this doesn't keep up due to Ole and Unthought Known - 2 songs I really dislike. Once ends the main set.
Inside Job starts the first encore with Just Breathe to follow. Present Tense is immense. The intro to Comatose is fucked up and has to be restarted. Porch closes the first encore. The second encore starts off with Search & Destroy, again with Mark Arm and Steve Turner. I enjoyed this one more than the one in Hamilton I have to say. Crazy Mary is fantastic, Boom's soloing with Mike very enjoyable. Alive and Rockin' In The Free World take the roof off and its let to my favourite closer - Indifference to close the show.

Instellar Overdrive/Corduroy open here. It's another bright start with All Night, God's Dice and Got Some to follow. All Night is very cool, God's Dice recovers from the slight false start - Ed starts to early and has to hold his note as the drums kick in. The good form continues with excellent performances of In My Tree, Dissident and Untitled/MFC. Red Mosquito and Nothing As It Seems is a good pairing then follows a couple of Yield tracks in Given To Fly and Evolution. A real rarity is next in the form of In The Moonlight - receiving only it's 2nd ever play. Black makes a rare appearance in the main set and then follows a heavy ending to the set, first with Setting Forth leading into a blistering Not For You complete with Modern Girl tag and then (again another rare main set slot) Alive. Awesome main set.

Betterman with I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend and Save It For Later tags closes the first encore. The second encore starts with a cover of The Guess Who's Runnin' Back To Saskatoon. Unfortunately Ed doesn't know alot of the lyrics, so Mike takes over frequently. At the end of the song Ed admits his error and says he'll get it right next time. Why Go and The Fixer are next up. Ed then says he is still thinking about his fuck up on "....Saskatoon" and invites anyone up who can sing it better. A guy called Brian in the crowd gets up and then the band play the song again with Ed on backup vocals. Ed sings the last verse on his own and changes the lyrics to be about Mudhoney. The encore gets back on track with Porch. The band let go with Baba O'Riley and it's left to Mike with Yellow Ledbetter to close the show.
Fantastic main set but the encores again didn't match up for me.
