Does Jeff ever speak during a show?

I think I might have finally heard Jeff speak during a show. I'm pretty sure that it is Jeff that is talking about how nobody sang happy birthday to Mike during the 4/6/94 show in Springfield, MA. Anbody else know other instances?

    Who's Jeff?

Juuuuuuust kidding. He's just a lot more busy now holding down the bottom end since they got that shitty drummer Matt Cameron now.

Hahaha, two for two. I'm kidding of course. Jeff and Matt rock.

On a side note, I am listening to Helpless by Uncle Neil. I'd like to hear PJ cover this.
Hail, hail the lucky ones, I refer to those in love.

There was one show on the European tour in 1992 where Jeff gets upset at fans for trampling all over his pedals while stage diving. Ed tries to diffuse the situation by saying that Jeff worked hard for his pedals.

I got it from http://www.pearljamamerica.com awhile ago. I don't know why but right now, they only have the link for the first half of the 4/6/94 show. I'm sure if you post a comment or a request, they'll most likely post a new link for the full show.

at Wembley last year i heard him say "... Look man, i didnt take anyones fucking basketball..."
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I think he yelled at someone in the very early 90s, in Europe. Soon after Eddie said something like "jeff worked long hours in a coffee shop to buy those amps, that's why he's very protective of them"

    :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

At the 1995 San Fransico show (where Ed got sick after 7 songs and Neil Young) took over), Jeff gave the crowd a half-assed apology for Ed having to leave the stage.

that's why i like so much Jeff. He's quiet and modest (is it correct, again?). U don't have to listen to him, to know he' s a good guy.
And he's a Fish. Just like me:)
