No Code Polaroid photos (sets C, O, D, E)

I recently acquired a few additional copies of No Code to collect all four sets of Polaroid photos that were included with the original pressing. I always appreciated the music of No Code, but when you combine the music with the unique album cover and individual Polaroid photos you really have a special piece of sound and visual art.

There also seems to be a lot of code in No Code. The Polaroid sets are C, O, D, E. You also have the triangle No Code symbol when you fully unfold the album art. I started to put together the following information about the Polariod photos and the songs they represent.

Anyone else see interesting code in No Code?

so i always wondered... can you piece all the polaroids together from the 4 sets and get a big no code symbol? that'd be a kickass piece of art

hopefully they do something like that if they do a no code reissue... thats one box set i would for sure buy

    And Happy Birthday! :D

The song Hail Hail has 4 Polaroids (1C, 1O, 1D, and 1E). 1C and 1O share the same photo and 1D and 1E share the same photo.

    It's my Birthday??

The album cover has all of the photos that are part of the 4 sets plus a lot more. Each Polaroid has a number on the back that ends in either C, O, D, or E. This will let you know which sets you have.

I started asking which set came with the CD and it was pretty easy to collect all four.

where did you buy them? it's out of stock in most places. and the one's that are available don't have the polaroids anymore.

Thanks! I was not sure which the many eyes on the cover might be the infamous Rodman eye, and that the cover might include a chunk of his nose too.

I also purchased a further 2 copies towards the end of the year on eBay, just asked the seller what set the photos were before I put a bid in. So I have 4 original copies, one reissue from 2000 (no Polaroids) and a vinyl. Is there really any need to own an album 6 times?

    Yes.

I found a nearly pristine copy at a massive church garage sale today . . . with a complete set of the C Polaroids. I haven't spent $3 so gleefully in a long time.

    Cool thread.
It's funny the other day I was looking at all the individual Polaroids in my set and i understood why all of the songs went with certain photos - except for one. The guy falling out of the window for Hail, Hail. I was like what is that have to do with the song? So I actually looked up the word hail in the dictionary (seriously), and it said to fall down like hail. And it hit me how dumb i was to forget about the big ice pellets falling from sky.

I recently completed the polaroid set and my original goal was to frame them, but after putting together I realized it would be a big frame! Has anyone framed them? Have any pics?
