What is your favorite combination of opener/closer on Pearl Jam albums? These are the options:
- Once/Release (Ten, 1991)
- Go/Indifference (Vs., 1993)
- Last Exit/Stupid Mop (Vitalogy, 1994)
- Sometimes/Around the Bend (No Code, 1996)
- Brain of JFK/All Those Yesterdays (Yield, 1998)
- Breakerfall/Parting Ways (Binaural, 2000)
- Can’t Keep/All or None (Riot Act, 2002)
- Life Wasted/Inside Job (Avocado, 2006)
- Gonna see my Friend/The End (Backspacer, 2009)

My vote goes to Once/Release with Go/Indifference between second and Friend/The End being third.

    either yield or binaural.
    brain of jfk is a better opener, but parting ways is a better closer.

    How about Getaway/Future Days? Pretty good combination I'd say.

    I'll have to go with Go/ Indifference

    Go is a sweet little powerhouse.
    The intro is a bit mystical with a great threat and urgengy to it.
    And then the song has yet to really start.
    The bass is just sooooo thick you can almost taste it.
    And the singing and lyrics are superb as well.

    Indiffernce is masmarizing.
    It sounds so open and yet so small.
    It sounds as if you are surrounded by darkness close to that match that has just been lit.
    vulnerable, again mystical. As if you are sent off into the night.

    If you add the cool instrumentals leading into and out of the songs then it's Once/Release.

    Go/Indifference 2nd. 1st if you drop the instrumentals...

    i remember hearing a leaked copy of this cd and my buddy saying "wait till you hear this song called inside job". blew my mind wide open and i just got goosebumps from typing this.

    Once/Release (but only because of Release. That song equals two songs I guess, lol).

    A very close second is Can't Keep/All or None.

    But i really like all of the openers and closers except for Backspacer's, which i don't like at all, and I think Future Days is absolute garbage. I even really like Stupid mop.
