Wow ... an offensive explosion tonight!

    5 runs.

    :D

But against Halladay, that's pretty good.

another "W".....and it came from Wellmeyer!

Have you noticed how fast they're playing their games? Unlike, say, the Red Sox ;)

Last night was 2:32...if I get bored, I might total up their first 20 games. It's just like the good old days. I know some of it is attributed to poor plate disciplne  but, still, I like it in that it should keep everyone fresh!

Wellmeyer is now know as the "Other Tim". When he gets 2 wins he will be officially known as "Wellmeyer". Dude proved he can pitch last night, but I wanna see him do it on a regular basis ;)

Timmy could have gotten 2 more outs....When is the last time you saw Wilson give up a 3 run lead though?

Wilson has a temper doesnt he? Just better make sure he doesnt punch anything.

That was a tough one for 55 to lose, but for the team to take two from the Phillies should take the sting off.

I've never been completely sold on Wilson. Bochy should have listened to the boos and not gone to the Standard Manager's Handbook.

Wait a minute, the last batter Lincecum faced, he walked on 4 straight pitches ... and all were way high, he was gassed.

Wilson's a very good reliever, he got squeezed by the ump on the walk call and the only reason Werth's base clearing double happened was because the outfielders were deep and it hit right on the foul line. Otherwise, it was a pretty routine pop out.

Over the course of a long season, shit like this happens in baseball. Reminder, it was the heart of the Phillies order that tied the game up, and they're pretty good. No need to hang Bochy on this.

    98 pitches starting the 9th

It was his first walk of the game! He threw 120 the game before. You don't want to burn him out in the 4th week of the season, but I sure as hell trust Timmy on 102 pitches/11Ks before I trust any bullpen. I'm not sure 10 more pitches is gonna burn a guy out who admits he doesn't ice or warmup very much.

Watched up to the 7th last night. Zito proving his worth again. I just hope he can still deliver for another 5 months.

In the past, have teams within Zitos division been able to figure him out in the late summer months?

And why is Kung Fu at 3rd? I know big guys can move at the hot corner, but is it really the best fit?

in the past few years, everybody was killing Zito early.......and then he got it together. So, he should be OK.

6-3 on the homestand against 3 of the NL's best.

.....unfortunately, I'm a glass-half-empty kind of guy when it comes to the Giants. They had three chances for series sweeps and didn't pull off any. They could have gone 9-0.

edit: I just realized we missed Jimenez, so maybe 8-1 would have been realistic. That dude throws smoke.
