    My problem is now that often - when I listen to YL - the misheard lyrics come into my mind. It somehow overprinted what Ed actually (possibly) sings....

    I had a friend who disapproved of "Black" because he thought the line was "Untouched sheets of clay/Her legs spread out before me" instead of "Were laid spread out before me." He was a bit of a prude.

    This is non-PJ, but my most memorable misheard lyric was sung by the awful, awful ex-girlfriend of the same guy who misheard "Black." We were driving around in 1993 when "Under The Bridge" by the Chili Peppers came on the radio. This girl, who perceived herself as a star of the musical theater, when the line "under the bridge downtown"-- you know, the TITLE of the freaking song-- is sung several times at the end, she belts out in this Mariah Carey wannabe voice, "Don't even waste your time!"

    "Don't even waste your time/Is where I drew some blood..."

    I have found cooler friends since then.

    My most misheard lyric has to be in Dissident.

    She gave him away when she couldn't hold...no...she folded...

    Instead of "she folded", I swear I always hear "she farted". I guess it is my potty humor coming to the surface subconsciously? :oops:

    "Praying" in Evenflow sounds like Proljev in Serbo/Croatian (pronounced prol-yev) means diarrhea. Makes me laugh every time.
