I didn't need a stat tracker to tell me that he jogged nonchalantly to first base but it is amazing how much data we can have at our beckon call now.

Yanks are 10-10 against rays and Baltimore. Boston is 19-5. There’s your difference

It doesn't matter if the 3rd out is the result of a force-out

Ugh.  I didn't want him to play tonight, not for 10 games...

but the force out was the play at 2nd and he was safe. So how does the play at first become the force

It was a force play that ended the game. But if he hustled he could have possibly beat the throw which would have resulted in the tying run to score.

RIght, they do that a lot with run downs and maybe when a guy tries to stretch a single into a double.

Yeah, if Sanchez had somehow beat it out (HA!) and the throw was bobbled and he tried to stretch it out, and got thrown out at 2nd.....then the run counts.

he would've beaten the play if he had not slowed down

Yanks number 9 prospect was scratched 5 minutes before game time in his first start off the DL, might be something brewing

Tate seems like a lot for a rental reliever but apparently they’d have to add him to the 40 man after the season

Didn't the NYY get Gleyber Torres for a rental RP? Britton may help win a WS like Chapman did for the Cubs.

Gleyber for Chapman, yes. Cubs were likely a little more desperate, but yeah. Also Britton isn’t Chapman, but fair point. It’s a good deal, probably for both sides

So, holder, green, d Rob, Britton, betances and Chapman...that’s pretty unreal, assuming Chapman is healthy. Also, if kanhle can get back...

Just hope Britton can stay off the DL. He's been on there a lot the past 2 seasons

Finally the Red Sox lose. I don't think this will happen considering they've been playing great without offense from their catching position. But what if the Red Sox ask the Marlins for Realmuto?
