A review of Backspacer:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/21/AR2009092103272.html
The writer says it's there best work since Vitalogy.
I disagree with his statment, that after 1994 "the band's songbook devolved into a sullen mush".
But he does give "The Fixer" a great review, figures the pop song he loves and says the rest struggles to keep up.
He missed the best songs:
Unthought Unknown, Amgonst the Waves, Force of Nature and The End. But these are the songs us real fans love and understand.
I do give the writer credit for recognize us, the fan base as one of the best any band has.
