Decent enough for the holiday single. Probably won't listen to it too many more times.

    I like it.

    It's not a competition - it's just a good Christmas song.

catchy enough, i like the part where he starts yelling. my problem is that it seems strange to compare santa to God, i don't know it just bothers me.

I enjoy it, and it will become a seasonal favourite in my house, but I don't see myself rockin' out to it in July. I never expect the Holiday single to blow me away, though. But I won't complain if it does. I'll have to agree that Strangest Tribe is one of the best.

I'm pretty sure that its meant sarcastically. That we put commercialism to such a degree on a pedestal that Santa almost seems like God. (And we, in consequence, get conditioned by it). Anyway, just my two cents.

I can hear that...although the Clash "I Fought the Law" is a cover - the original was done by the Bobby Fuller Four sometime in the late 50's/early 60's...

Anyway, I LOVE Santa God! I think most kids believe in god on some level and by the time you figure out that Santa isn't real, you also start questioning the believability of god. But you know what - It's a cute, catchy Christmas ditty and I don't wanna over-analyze it - I wanna enjoy it!

I haven't even heard the song yet, but from these lyrics, I think it's a pretty interesting take on what Christmas meant to alot of us, as opposed to what it should have been about. It's pretty scary what the holiday is supposed to be about, and what we've turned it into, and I'm not even talking about commercialization. How and when did a celebration of Christ's birth become about Santa Claus, flying reindeer, etc.? Don't get me wrong, I love all that stuff, it's just thought provoking.
