maybe someone can fill me in on how these festivals work, would merch already be for sale (i.e. during the day of the fest) or does it get put up shortly before each band plays? I am curious to see what ends up being for sale merch wise. With such a small strange run of shows, I wasn't expecting to see a ton of stuff - was curious to see if the new Backspacer cover art (or pieces of it would show up on tees, etc.) - anyhoo...only 3+ hours until set. Will be following along...I am thinking Release or Hard to Imagine opens with The Fixer and Got Some in the 2 and 3 slots.

At Lolla they had all of the PJ merch for sale the day they played when gates opened in the morning. That's the only festival I've been to.

You are right though about this year ~ who knows how much merch will even be available, especially at the pre-Seattle shows before the album is released.

So far no word on the poster or merch ...

at ACL, the bands have their merch for sale on the first day even if they're playing the 3rd day. of course, there are exceptions due to shipping delays, etc.

I went to Lolla and the 'Roo, in both cases posters went up when the gates opened the day PJ played (I think the Bonnaroo tent opened at 8 am), but t shirts and other stuff were up for the entire festival.

At most festivals there's usually places dedicated to selling merchandise through-out the day. I remember going to the Warped Tour at Thunderbird Stadium like three or four years ago, half the field had the two stages and the other half had the concession stands and merch tables.

I am so pumped to see what they play. Just gonna do pushups for the next couple hours to expend excitement :P

    I'M LIZZING!!!

Stuck at work all night, and into the am so this will be a good way to pass the time. I would like to see them open with The Fixer. It wil be cool to see what new songs (if any) get played.

Just got back from SF on Wednesday. Other than one other beer at the Giants game, Anchor Steam was the only beer I had with my pizza from North Beach, the calamari on the wharf, and the bread bowl of chowder!

    It goes great with anything!!!

Neat little story about why they use the term "steam" in their brew. I looked all over for a shirt but never found one so I checked out the website too.
