Create your all time rock band lineup

OK guys - I am bored tonight and this is a discussion I have with friends to inspire plenty of debate and argument.

** If you could hand pick the all time lineup of a new band made up of the best musicians, artists, and songwriters of all time who would you pick? **

Here are some ground rules I would like to follow:

1) Your band may be comprised of anyone alive or dead, male or female, etc.

2) You are limited to 5 band members

3) Your band should probably contain a drummer, bass player, a guitarist or two (or keys), and a singer so they can put on a legitimate performance - in other words, you can't pick all guitar players because those are your favorites of all time

4) Band members may be a double or triple threat so if everyone sings and plays their instruments that is fine. So if Eric Clapton, John Lennon, and Ed were in your dream band they could take turns singing but all can play their guitars

5) You should consider band chemistry as well as songwriting. Someone needs to come up with material and they need to get along in theory at some level. Imagine they are required to at least write and record one album of new material and pull off one tour (and dead people are considered resurrected as though they were never dead)....

6) Be creative

Hope this is fun and interesting.........If it's been done already here sorry - I searched and didn't see anything...

Hmmm, interesting thought. Just off the top of my head I'm going to say Ed, Jimmy Hendrix, John Lennon, Flea, and the drummer from Velvet Revolver/G n R (can't remember his name, Matt something). Not that I have a real strong opinion about most of these, just seems pretty cool off the top of my head.

    My dream band already exists:

    Ed Vedder: vocals and guitar
    Jeff Ament: bass
    Stone Gossard: guitar
    Mike McCready: guitar
    Matt Cameron: drums

Those supergroups never work out, anyway. Too many egos.

    Neil Young

    John Lennon: Vocals/Guitars/Keyboard
    Eddie Vedder: Vocals/Guitars

    Jimi Hendrix: Vocals/Lead Guitar
    Stone Gossard: Guitars
