Pearl Jam is offering fans a rare chance to share in a creative endeavor with the band.
In partnership with Sony Music’s Legacy Recordings, FUEL TV is staging a contest wherein fans can submit an action sports clip of themselves for potential use in a Pearl Jam music video.
The video – which will be for the song “Porch,” from the band’s debut album Ten – will also feature skateboard pros Nolan Lee, Chris Martin and Brad Harper, in addition to the selected fan clips.
Ten was recently reissued in four special editions, each of which includes a remastered version of the original album along with an accompanying remixed version.
The deadline for submissions is July 18. After all entries have been received, the winning clips will be determined by a fan vote. The top ten winners will be used, and the video will premiere ON-AIR on Fuel TV’s “The Daily Habit” in August. In addition, one grand prize winner will receive a full band copy of Rock Band for Xbox 230 and a Super Deluxe Edition of Ten. Ten runners-up will be rewarded with a copy of Rock Band (disc only) for the Xbox 230 and the Legacy Edition of Ten.
