I think that if it means PJ gets Dave or Jack back, I'm all for it! Love Matt, but his style is so much better suited to Soundgarden than PJ.

Assuming it doesn't interfere with Pearl Jam at all, that'd be so sweet.

Joint shows anyone? :D I'm sure Matt could handle it.

I would not be surprised if they did at least one show next year, probably at Bumbershoot festival in Seattle. A tour would be cool. I would be there for sure.

I remember in an interview one of the members (stone ,jeff etc not sure who) said they cant tour in 2010 because one of the band members is having a baby.

I remember awhile back a poster here said that "baby" rumor is really Matt rejoining soundgarden.

I'm not so sure I believe this yet, but if it were true I'd def go see it to watch Thayil, Shephard, and Cameron. Never seen SG live before and they're probably my all-time favorite band - going to see a reunion is a no-brainer. That being said, Cornell pretty much means nothing to me now (with Timbo album, et al), but I'm sure he'd be all for a reunion for the easy money.

I'll ask the road crew to turn off Cornell's mic and guitar for you when you see them. I'm sure that the songs would sound way better without his contribution anyway.

    What?

Cornell's voice is better than it has been in a loong time and its a big part of SG...

Also would be interesting to see Chris playing guitar again, wonder if he has to learn them all again.

haha nice one, Cornell's voice has been pretty damn strong since AS. I saw him twice in 07 and he was killer. I have no intention of starting another Cornell bashing thread; we beat that horse to death months ago. It's only my opinion that his new material/career moves are garbage. However, if all 4 members are sincere about having a reunion, then I'd be all for it. The only person's sincerity that I'd doubt would be Cornell's given his recent career activity. Let's just leave it at that.

It's a solid fact that his material / career moves since Audioslave (and some would argue including Audioslave) are garbage.

That said, I was just calling you out a little on the little bit of bullshit that you would go simply to see the other 3 guys in the band.

Still kicking myself over missing a show when I had a chance to see them in '96.

It's an internet message board.... and what you said didn't really make sense anyway. It was Timbalands input that made it shit, not cornells. If you listen to the bonus track 'two drink minimum' its one of the best songs cornell has written in his entire solo career, so he still does have it.

Was some very bad sarcasm from my point of view, dont see what was so sarcastic about it as you are saying his voice is bad, so if you turn it off then it will actually sound better, which is wrong as his voice is good anyway, and plus i'm not a guitarist but whatever sound he is making in SG it sounds good. Oh his solo acoustic sets at shows are amazing too.

    Maybe i'm misreading something, it is 3:16am :P :P

Ah -- I didn't realize the time difference. The sarcasm can be explained in the above couple of posts. I was calling out Offhegoes on saying that he would go see SG only to see Thail, Sheppard and MattCam playing together again.

That was a bit of a mistake on my end  . Of course I would want to see all four of them together for a genuine reunion. I just meant it'd be nice to see Thayil, Shephard, and Cameron (and yes Cornell) playing together. I've seen Cornell solo and with AS, and seen Cameron with PJ - but never got to see SG live (so never seen Thayil or Shephard rip it up live). Long story short Soundgarden kicks ass
