  • PJ=SOLD THE F@#$ OUT!!!! Just a few short years ago ed was ranting about jewel doing that commercial for that razer and how they were offered all this money to use alive in a viagra commercial, and that time they made the promoters take down the dodge advertisements in front of the stage at the Greek--and it was great!!!! I loved those guys, fightin the good fight!!! March on brothers!!!! And now? Look at them--a musical billboard, they can't sell out fast enough. DISGUSTING!!!!
The pearl jam we knew is long gone....sad but a fact....

ok let me break this down for you....

Jewel's music in a razor commercial is an advertisement for a razor.
PJ's Alive in a viagra commercial is an advertisement for viagra....
PJ's Target commercial is promoting their fucking music.

Whether you like it or not there is a difference... Pearl Jam was in bed with a record company for years and years and no one said anything... and now that they are picking and choosing who they do business with based on the knowledge they have of the record industry AND big business they are getting shit on by people who won't take the fucking time to think about it... how about they don't release their next record at all?

Also, having a random sign up in a venue that has nothing to do with your music or the things you support is certainly grounds to have it removed if you wish. If you owned a bar and had up signs for Blue Moon but didn't have any in stock wouldn't you take down the blue moon sign? It's a weak analogy but it works.

Whatever you gotta tell yourselves to justify that the band is shit, with the integrity of Washington spin doctors. pearl jam didn't need anyone to promote their music--take the time to think about that--target only gains and piss jam loses their self respect as a band...that makes the band a tool of corporate interest. In the beginning they had something to gain by using sony to get their music out...they accomplished that now they don't need any big business, but they chose to be tools when freedom was the other options, so go back to you guitar hero game and your mcdonalds....
